ASUSTOR provides a holistic solution for protecting your data against a variety of threats using Dr. ASUSTOR. Dr. ASUSTOR helps protect your data from a variety of threats, including, but not limited to ransomware attacks.


Health Check:

  • Dr. ASUSTOR performs checkups based the current state of your system, settings and connectivity. After performing these checkups, Dr. ASUSTOR will diagnose any problems and provide you with appropriate recommendations.

Support Tools:

  • Health Records:
    You can also export a health record for your NAS in order to help ASUSTOR engineers quickly identify the causes of any problems. The health record contains information pertaining to the NAS's system event logs, core information and basic configuration files.
  • Temporary Service Account: (Introduced in ADM 5.1.4)
    Dr. ASUSTOR now supports temporary service accounts. When remote assistance from the ASUSTOR technical team to troubleshoot issues is needed, a temporary service account and password can be generated by ADM with a 7-day validity period, eliminating the need to provide the system administrator's account and password. Temporary service accounts will be deactivated immediately upon expiration, and users can also deactivate them manually, enhancing the privacy and security of ASUSTOR NAS accounts and passwords.
    • Generate Temporary Account: A temporary account and password will be randomly generated and valid for only seven days. The generated password will only be displayed once and copied to your computer’s clipboard upon generation. If the password is not copied in time, a new temporary service account will need to be generated.
    • End Temporary Access: A temporary service account can be terminated here or removed in Access Control before it expires.
