Q: What should I do if ADM initialization fails?

  1. Issues with ADM initialization are generally caused by security or firewall programs installed on the PC, poor network connections or hard drive damage.

  2. To troubleshoot problems encountered during the installation process, please do the following:

  3. For a comprehensive scan of all hard drives on a Windows PC, use the diagnostic tools provided by the hardware manufacturer to confirm the health of your hard drive. Here are some diagnostic tools for your reference:

  6. After scanning hard drive, try formatting the hard drive on your PC before installing the hard drive on an ASUSTOR NAS.

  7. Use Ethernet route to connect the ASUSTOR NAS to the PC.

  8. Initialize ADM by using ASUSTOR Control Center.
