Q: How do I add the music stored on my NAS to the iTunes Server App?

The iTunes Server App can turn your NAS into your home’s audio and video streaming center. It allows you to share music and movies from your NAS with computers in the same network environment.

The file formats supported by iTunes Server are as follows:

Audio: AIF, M4A (AAC & Apple Lossless), M4P, M4R, MP3, WAV

Playlist: M3U, WPL

Video: M4V, MOV, MP4

Please follow the steps below to add the music stored on your NAS to iTunes Server:

1. Log into ADM and then select [App Central] à [ASUSTOR Apps]. Search for “iTunes Server” and then click on the [Install] button to install it.

2. After installation has completed, you will be able to see the iTunes Server icon on the ADM desktop. Click on the icon to start iTunes Server. Enter a display name for your NAS under the [General] tab.

3. Under the [Advanced] tab, you will be able to add folders containing music files from your NAS to

iTunes Server. Click on the [Add] button, and then select the folders of your choice.

4. Now, open iTunes on your PC or Mac. Choose your ASUSTOR NAS under the “Music” heading in the top left hand panel of the iTunes window. Click on it to begin browsing through and streaming your music.
