With PCIe Gen5 x8 and Gen5 x4 expansion slots, high-speed devices like 50GbE network cards, SAS storage controllers, and other peripherals can be installed to scale storage and network performance based on evolving business needs.
The Lockerstor 12R Pro Gen2 and 16R Pro Gen2 are equipped with DDR5-4800 ECC memory, which is expandable up to 192GB. ECC memory supports automatic error correction and helps prevent system crashes as well as data corruption, ensuring stable and accurate long-term operation.

In order to allow administrators to quickly find the NAS from among many servers the Lockerstor 12R Pro Gen2(2U) / Lockerstor 16R Pro Gen2(3U) provides a dedicated button on front panel. ASUSTOR also offers the mobile NAS management app, AiMaster which provides the exclusive Find Me function. When Find Me is activated, the system status light on the front of the NAS will flash and the system buzzer will sound, helping users to quickly find the NAS.

Snapshot Center supports up to 256 snapshots of a volume and can be done every five minutes, creating a backup that can be restored easily if data is damaged or lost.
MyArchive now supports Btrfs and snapshots.
