ASUSTOR NAS Devices Not Affected by ShellShock Bash Bug


Taipei, Taiwan, October 2nd, 2014 – ASUSTOR Inc., a leading innovator and provider of network storage solutions, has announced that its products are not affected by the recent ShellShock Bash Bug.  ASUSTOR NAS devices do not utilize Bash, the component where the vulnerability is found. All ASUSTOR users can rest assured and can continue to safely use their ASUSTOR NAS devices. ASUSTOR devices run a set of tools called BusyBox which is an alternative to Bash. Devices running BusyBox are not vulnerable to the ShellShock Bash Bug.
