With VirtualBox, you can install all different types of operating systems to your NAS, creating virtual machines. After creating a virtual machine, your NAS can become your personal computer. No matter if its sending emails, editing Word, Excel or PowerPoint files, or even Skype, all can be done on one machine.


    Usage Limitations:
    • Supported Model: AS31, 32, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 70, 71, FS67, FS68 (ASUSTOR Portal is not supported by AS65, 68, 71, FS68)
    • Recommended Memory: 2GB and up is recommended for Windows XP and Linux systems while 4GB and up is recommended for other operating systems.
    • ASUSTOR Portal can only run one virtual machine at a time.
    • The number of virtual machines that can be run simultaneously will depend on VirtualBox/NAS hardware.
    • Due to license limitations, you will need to install the VirtualBox extension pack for for USB 2.0/3.0 devices and Virtual RDP.
