ASUSTOR strongly recommends choosing drives located in the compatibility list. Also please remember to regularly back up your important files to avoid data loss.

ASUSTOR is committed to protecting your data. ASUSTOR is not able to recommend use of recertified drives in ASUSTOR NAS devices. ASUSTOR has not verified or tested recertified hard drives and as such, may not be 100% compatible with your ASUSTOR NAS or introduce unforeseen instability. Recertified hard drives are drives that have been repaired and re-certified by the manufacturer. Recertified hard drives often have six months of warranty. Despite this, if choosing to use recertified drives with an ASUSTOR NAS, always keep extra backups.

In the event that the system detects a hard drive abnormality, please immediately back up your data and replace the hard drive.
Due to system kernel limitations, for the following models, the maximum capacity of a single RAID volume is 16TB: AS10, AS-20, AS-30 series.
