Taipei, Taiwan, April 26th, 2016 – ASUSTOR Inc., a leading innovator and provider of network storage solutions, has announced that it will be exhibiting its brand new series of flagship tower NAS models (AS6210T, AS6208T, AS3202T, AS3204T),  new enterprise-class rackmount NAS models (AS6212RD, AS6204RD/RS) and AU6004T expansion unit at Computex 2016. ASUSTOR will also be announcing the third generation of its NAS operating system, ADM 3.0. Introduction to ASUSTOR NAS Products

AS3202T and AS3204T Tower Models

Immaculately designed, the AS3202T and AS3204T feature a modern diamond plated cover, making them a perfect fit in any living space. The special sliding cover and hand screw design provides a simple toolless installation experience for users. These devices utilize Intel Celeron quad-core processors with the latest graphics engine and also feature built-in dual-channel memory, allowing for outstanding 4K/1080p multimedia streaming performance. Furthermore, HDMI and USB 3.0 connection ports allow them to integrate with users’ existing equipment to easily create home cloud storage and an ideal cinema-quality multimedia hub.

AS6208T and AS6210T Tower Models

The AS6208T and AS6210T are the most compact high capacity tower NAS models in the industry. Utilizing Intel Celeron quad-core processors, these models allow users to install 8 and 10 hard disks respectively and are verified as being compatible with the highest capacity hard disks on the market (8TB). Equipped with top class hardware I/O, these devices also feature 4 high speed gigabit Ethernet ports that provide read and write speeds of 398 MB/s and 355 MB/s respectively under link aggregation, making them the perfect high capacity storage solution for small to medium sized businesses. These devices provide comprehensive cloud storage that can meet demands for data sharing, storage, backup and more.

AS6204RD/RS and AS6212RD Rackmount Models

These rackmount models are enterprise-class cloud storage devices equipped with Intel Celeron quad-core processors and 4 high speed gigabit Ethernet ports providing superior overall performance.

They effectively simplify data management, provide optimized virtualization environments and effectively centralize storage and protection of mission critical digital assets. The AS6204RD and AS6212RD also feature redundant power supplies allowing users to configure failover for both system power and Ethernet ports, ensuring for continuous non-stop service and system operation.

AU6004T Expansion Unit

The AU6004T is ASUSTOR’s first external storage expansion unit designed for use with ASUSTOR NAS devices.It connects to other NAS devices via USB 3.0 and allows for the creation of another storage area, providing flexible storage capacity expansion. Users can create RAID volumes on the AU6004T and access its data from within the ADM interface.

Supported Series:

ASUSTOR 31, 50, 51, 61, 62, 70 series devices can connect a maximum of 2 AU6004T units.

ASUSTOR 10,2, 3, 6 series devices can connect a maximum of 1 AU6004T unit.

Introduction to ASUSTOR Data Master (ADM)

ADM is the first NAS operating system in the industry to be designed around an App-based concept. Every ASUSTOR NAS comes built-in with ADM which provides an intuitive interface and usage experience. ADM also includes the App Central App repository which offers users a plethora of add-on Apps to increase NAS functionality, allowing each user to customize their NAS according to their needs. ASUSTOR is always developing new functions and introducing new Apps, pushing the boundaries and possibilities of NAS.

The newest version of ADM, ADM 2.6, has recently been released and features C Library updates that allow ASUSTOR’s in-house developed functions and 3rd party developed Apps to benefit from the new library’s high compatibility and flexibility. Linux kernel updates also provide increased stability, performance and security. Furthermore, in ADM 2.6, ASUSTOR’s exclusive MyArchive technology has been expanded, with the number of simultaneous configurable MyArchive hard disks now being significantly increased to N-1. MyArchive hard disks also now feature newly supported AES 256-bit encryption* and can be configured to automatically mount on up to 20 trusted NAS devices for more agile use. Also, in addition to entering a password or importing an electronic encryption key for decryption users can also now bind a USB device as a physical encryption key.

Additionally, ASUSTOR will be exhibiting the third generation of the ADM interface along with a preview of its brand new functions at Computex 2016. ADM 3.0 introduces fresh new design updates, 4K monitor resolution support, a new login page, App shortcuts, a system notification message board, App grouping function, and desktop widgets. The desktop widgets in particular, allow prosumers and professional IT staff to easily get a grasp on the system’s status.

Smart Surveillance Applications

Home security has been a hot topic recently. ASUSTOR NAS devices allow users to turn their NAS into an NVR (Network Video Recorder) free of charge. ASUSTOR’s Surveillance Center 2.5 provides usability, convenience and security. It optimizes users’ Windows environment operation experience by allowing them to access the App interface from Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer Web browsers. Furthermore, ASUSTOR’s secure HTTPS encrypted connections have been also added to the video recording playback function, comprehensively protecting user privacy and ensuring safety. Surveillance Center also now offers more flexible recording quotas, giving users the ability to define recording storage quotas according to the storage space size or retention period. Additionally, different storage quotas can be configured according to different camera priorities allowing administrators to easily achieve effective recording using limited storage capacity. Also, compatibility for more than 43 different camera models from world renowned brands have been added for a total of 700+ compatible camera models. The local display function has also been enhanced in Surveillance Center 2.5. In addition to being able to view live camera feeds on TVs, users can also directly search and playback specific recording files via the timeline or calendar and hear live audio as well.

Multimedia Applications

The launch of ASUSTOR Portal created a new definition for NAS. Utilizing the HDMI port on ASUSTOR NAS devices, ASUSTOR Portal turns a NAS into cost-effective multimedia player. After installing ASUSTOR Portal users can access the ADM management interface, Web browsers, YouTube TV, and Netflix on the Portal interface. Users can also install Kodi to get a 4K/1080p multimedia playback experience.

In addition to HDMI applications, ASUSTOR also provides a Web based multimedia player in LooksGood, which includes an online real-time transcoding function. LooksGood current offers support for Microsoft Edge, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari (Mac) Web browsers. Furthermore, the online photo album Photo Gallery 2.0 provides an intuitive and easy to use experience by offering convenient features such as multi-level folder structures, list browsing and automatic photo rotation and uploading. Also, the SoundsGood App gives users a dedicated Web-based jukebox, while its corresponding mobile app AiMusic allows users to play the thousands of songs on their NAS from any location.
