1. Managing Surveillance Center Camera Licenses

Surveillance Center provide 4 free IP Camera channels by default.


1.1 Before you get started

Before you begin to add camera licenses, please ensure the following:

  • Surveillance Center has been installed and is enabled.
  • Surveillance Center has not reached the maximum number of installable cameras on the NAS.
  • Have a camera license ready (either for 1 or 4 channels). (Click here to purchase)
  • The NAS is connected to the Internet.


1.2 Adding camera licenses

STEP 1

  • Open Surveillance Center using the administrators account.
  • Select [Settings] [License Control].


  • Here, you will be to see the current number of installed camera licenses and the maximum number installable on your NAS.


STEP 2

  • Click on the [Add] button.
  • After carefully reading the agreement, click on [Agree].


STEP 3

  • Enter the license key and then click [Next].
  • After successful activation of the license you will see a message indicating that the license was installed successfully. Click [Finish]. You can then go to [Settings] [Camera] to install additional cameras.



1.3 Removing camera licenses

STEP 1

  • Select [Settings] [License Control].
  • Select the camera license that you wish to remove and then click on the [Remove] button.

STEP 2

  • Enter the password for your account and click [Next].
  • Click [OK] to confirm that you want to remove the license.
  • After the license has been removed successfully, click on [Finish].


Note:

  1. Before removing a camera license, please ensure that the corresponding camera channel for the license is empty and does not have a camera assigned to it.
  2. The system's 4 default camera licenses cannot be removed.


1.4 Transferring camera licenses to another ASUSTOR NAS

If you wish to transfer your camera licenses to another ASUSTOR NAS, please follow the instructions in section 1.3 to remove the license. Afterwards, you will be able to install this license on another ASUSTOR NAS.
