Remarque : le Serveur multimédia UPnP V2 s’occupe uniquement du streaming vers des appareils compatibles. Les formats multimédia pris en charge peuvent varier selon les appareils.

2. Utiliser le Serveur multimédia UPnP V2

Dans l'exemple suivant, nous allons vous montrer comment utiliser le Serveur multimédia UPnP V2 avec une PlayStation 3. Les étapes d'installation que nous allons décrire devraient être les mêmes pour tous les appareils compatibles UPnP.

2.1 Utiliser le Serveur multimédia UPnP V2 avec une PlayStation 3

ETAPE 1

Installez l'application Serveur multimédia UPnP V2 depuis l’App Central.

Ouvrez le Serveur multimédia UPnP V2 et créez un dossier partagé. Pour ce faire, cliquez sur le bouton [Créer] dans la section Dossier partagé. Les dossiers partagés seront utilisés pour stocker les photos, les films ou la musique que vous souhaitez diffuser en continu sur vos appareils compatibles UPnP. Dans le graphique ci-dessous, vous pouvez voir que nous avons configuré un dossier partagé nommé "MyMedia" avec un chemin de répertoire mappé > partir du dossier "Media" sur le NAS.

ETAPE 3

Ajoutez les photos, les films ou la musique que vous souhaitez diffuser dans le chemin du répertoire du dossier partagé (dans cet exemple, le dossier “Media” sur le NAS). Dans le graphique ci-dessous, vous pouvez voir le contenu que nous avons ajouté > notre dossier “Media”.

Allumez la PlayStation 3. Assurez-vous qu’elle est bien connectée > votre réseau. Naviguez jusqu' > l'icône de l'image, du film ou de la musique dans le menu de la PlayStation 3, et vous devriez voir s’afficher le nom de votre NAS. Dans le graphique ci-dessous, vous pouvez voir que nous avons navigué vers l'icône du film et que nous avons trouvé le nom de notre NAS.

Vous devriez maintenant pouvoir accéder > votre dossier partagé et > son contenu.

ETAPE 6

Sélectionnez les fichiers de votre choix pour les écouter et les regarder.

2.2 Using UPnP Media Server V2 with a Samsung/LG TV

STEP 1

Install the UPnP Media Server V2 App from App Central.

Open UPnP Media Server V2 and set up a sharing folder. To do this, click on the [Create] button under the Sharing folder heading. Sharing folders will be used to store any pictures, movies or music that you want streamed to your UPnP compatible devices. In the graphic below you can see that we have setup a shared folder named “Video” with a directory path mapped to the “Video” folder on the NAS.

STEP 3

Add any pictures, movies or music that you want to stream to the directory path of the sharing folder (in our case, the “Video” folder on the NAS). In the graphic below, you will be able to see the contents that we have added to our “Video” folder.

STEP 4

Samsung TV

Turn on the TV. Please make sure that it is connected to your network. Navigate to the bottom part of the Samsung TV menu and you should be able to see the name of your NAS listed underneath. In the graphic below you can see that we have navigated to the bottom part and found the name of our NAS.

LG TV

Navigate to the Home Dashboard of the LG TV menu and you should be able to see the name of your NAS listed underneath. In the graphic below you can see that we have navigated to the Home Dashboard of the LG TV menu and found the name of our NAS.

You should now be able to navigate to your sharing folder and access its contents.

Select any files of your choice to stream and view.

3. Using MiniDLNA with a Samsung/LG TV

STEP 1

Install the MiniDLNA App from App Central.

Open MiniDLNA and set up a sharing folder. To do this, click on the [Create] button under the Sharing folder heading. Sharing folders will be used to store any pictures, movies or music that you want streamed to your UPnP compatible devices. In the graphic below you can see that we have setup a shared folder named “Video” with a directory path mapped to the “Video” folder on the NAS.
