Installing Tvheadend</strong><br /> Please follow the steps below to install the Tvheadend third party App.<br /> <strong>STEP 1</strong><br /> Connect a compatible DVB-T/DTMB digital TV dongle to your ASUSTOR NAS. For optimal reception, please make sure to place the dongle next to a window or in a place where it will not be blocked.<br /> Digital TV Dongle Compatibility List: <a href="http://www.asustor.com/service/tv_stick?id=tv_stick&brand_id=&type_id=27">http://www.asustor.com/service/tv_stick?id=tv_stick&brand_id=&type_id=27</a><br /> <strong>STEP 2</strong><br /> <p> Log in to ADM and install the Tvheadend App from App Central. The Tvheadend icon should be visible on the ADM desktop after installation has completed. </p> <p> <br /> </p> <p> <img src="/images/kindeditor/image/20180814/20180814184450_83347.png" alt="" width="800" height="452" title="" align="" /> </p> <a></a> <p> <strong><br /> </strong> </p> <p> <strong><a name="undefined"></a>2. </strong><strong>TV Dongle and Channel Configurations</strong> </p> In this section we will describe how to configure your TV Dongle.<br /> <strong>STEP 1 </strong><br /> <ul> <li> Open Tvheadend from the ADM desktop. A new tab should open on your Web browser. </li> <li> Select[Configuration] > [DVB Inputs] > [Networks] > [Add]. </li> </ul> <img border="0" width="644" height="128" src="/images/kindeditor/image/20160513/20160513173131_70423.png" /><br /> <strong>STEP 2</strong><br /> We will be using DVB-T2 for France as an example. Please select[DVB-T Network]from the drop-down list.<br /> (If you need to use DVB-T2, please purchase PCTV WinTV soloHD and the 292e TV dongle. Also, Media-Pack v2.6.0.r02 must be installed in ADM.)<br /> <p> <br /> </p> <p> <img border="0" width="445" height="182" src="/images/kindeditor/image/20160513/20160513173140_40799.png" /> </p> <strong>STEP 3</strong><br /> <ul> <li> In the [Network Name] field enter a name for your network. </li> <li> For [Pre-defined Muxes], select[France: fr-All] </li> <li> Click on[Create]once you are done. </li> </ul> <p> <br /> </p> <p> <img border="0" width="523" height="439" src="/images/kindeditor/image/20160513/20160513173152_12722.png" /> </p> <p> <strong><br /> </strong> </p> <p> <strong>STEP 4</strong> </p> Now, select[TV adapters]. You will have to enable the network you just created and pair it with Tvheadend. (This is important. Tvheadend will automatically begin to scan for channels.<br /> <p> <br /> </p> <p> <img border="0" width="755" height="168" src="/images/kindeditor/image/20160513/20160513173231_79182.png" /> </p> <p> <strong><br /> </strong> </p> <p> <strong>STEP 6</strong> </p> <ul> <li> Click on[Services].This tab will show the channels that have been scanned. </li> <li> Click on[Map All]to map the channels to the playlist. These channels will become fixed for later viewing. </li> </ul> <p> <br /> </p> <p> <img border="0" width="755" height="256" src="/images/kindeditor/image/20160513/20160513173244_45231.png" /> </p> <p> <strong><br /> </strong> </p> <p> <strong>STEP 7</strong> </p> <p> Select[Channel/EPG] > [Channels]to view a complete list of channels. </p> <p> <br /> </p> <img border="0" width="750" height="256" src="/images/kindeditor/image/20160513/20160513173258_33853.png" /><br /> <p> <strong><br /> </strong> </p> <p> <strong>STEP 8</strong> </p> You can also select[Electronic Program Guide]to view more detailed information.<br /> <p> <br /> </p> <p> <img border="0" width="707" height="309" src="/images/kindeditor/image/20160513/20160513173311_13754.png" /> </p> <p> <br /> </p> <a></a><strong><a name="3"></a>3. </strong><strong>Watching TV Programs</strong><br /> After configuring your TV dongle and channels you will be able to use the following devices to stream and watch digital TV programs.<br /> <a></a><strong>3.1 Notebook/PC with Firefox browser</strong><br /> Click on the program you wish to watch in the[Electronic Program Guide]and then click[Play Program]in the window that pops up.<br /> <p> <br /> </p> <img border="0" width="745" height="383" src="/images/kindeditor/image/20160513/20160513173323_76119.png" /><br /> <a></a> <p> <strong><br /> </strong> </p> <p> <strong><a name="3.2"></a>3.2 Smartphone/Tablet</strong> </p> Please download and install TVHClient from the Apple App Store or Google Play. In the example below we will be using an Android smartphone.<br /> <strong>STEP 1</strong><br /> <ul> <li> Select [+] to enter connection settings. </li> <li> Enter the connection name, hostname IP, and port as 9982. The port for media streaming is 9981. </li> </ul> <p> (Because no account or password has been configured for Tvheadend on the NAS, please leave the Username and Password fields blank.) </p> <p> <br /> </p> <img src="/images/kindeditor/image/20160513/20160513173550_84168.png" alt="" width="484" height="860" title="" align="" /><br /> <br /> <strong>STEP 2</strong><br /> <ul> <li> After configuring the connection, select the [<img border="0" width="19" height="19" src="/images/kindeditor/image/20160513/20160513173620_70430.jpg" />] icon to enable it. Next, tap on the [<img border="0" width="18" height="17" src="/images/kindeditor/image/20160513/20160513173633_28032.jpg" />] icon two times to access the channel list page. </li> <li> You can select the [<img border="0" width="19" height="14" src="/images/kindeditor/image/20160513/20160513173645_33179.jpg" />] icon to access the side menu.
