 Note: Please make sure that ASUSTOR Portal has been installed on your NAS. Please refer to <a target="_blank" href="https://www.asustor.com/online/College_topic?topic=135" rel="noopener">here</a> for installing ASUSTOR Portal.
System requirements: AS31, AS32, AS50, AS51, AS52, AS53, AS54, AS61, AS62, AS63, AS64, AS66, AS67, AS67 v2, AS70, FS67.

<li> Click on [Settings] [Hardware], and click on [Enable infrared receiver] to make sure that NAS can receive signals from ASUSTOR Remote Control.</li>

<a name="r21"></a>2.1 Installing AiRemote and connecting to your ASUSTOR NAS
STEP 1
<ul>
<li>Locate and install AiRemote by scanning the QR codes below or by searching for AiRemote in the Apple App Store or Google Play.</li>

STEP 2
<ul>
<li>After installation has completed, open AiRemote on your mobile device.</li>
<li>AiRemote will now scan your local network for ASUSTOR NAS devices. Select the NAS of your choice to connect to it. (You can also select [Connect via IP] and directly enter the LAN IP address of the NAS you wish to connect to).</li>
</ul>
 Note: Please turn on the Wi-Fi of the mobile devices and make sure that the NAS and the mobile devices are connected to the same network (LAN).

<a name="r22"></a>2.2 Basic modes of operation for AiRemote
AiRemote has two basic modes of operation:
<ul>
<li>Remote Mode:
Remote Mode functions much the same as a regular remote control, using the up, down, left, right and OK buttons to control ASUSTOR Portal.
</li>
<li>Touchpad Mode:
Touchpad mode functions much the same as a touchpad on a laptop computer. It comes complete with simulated left and right mouse buttons that allow you to intuitively control ASUSTOR Portal.
</li>

When using the Firefox web browser, switching to AiRemote's Touchpad Mode will provide you with a more intuitive usage experience. The graphic below illustrates the key functions when using Touchpad mode with Firefox.
